MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been consulting with the biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of small companies in Cornwall presently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this type of industry going it does need just a bit of lift which is available in the form of tax foregone."
Biodiesel is a mix of conventional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
